Make Your Own Euro 2008 Football
Firstly, credit to HQTutorials for their World Cup 2006 Football. This is a slightly modified version of their tutorial.
Lets crack on then. This is your outcome:

I chose Russia, because my country, England, didn’t make it, and I have a Russian mate, so they are my adopted side for the tournament. Obviously this can apply for any flag, or even any image, as you shall see later. The first step is to copy the following image into photoshop:
Then, use the mighty google (or any other search engine) and select your image (in most cases flag). Create a new layer in photoshop and copy that image into it.Next, select the “Eliptical Marquee Tool”, and select an ellipse of the flag (dragging from top left to bottom right):
Then select the inverse (ctrl+alt+i) and delete. Then deselect (ctrl+d). The next step is to free transform the image into the shape of the ball. This is quite simple. Press ctrl+t and then reshape the ellipse, until it is a circle of the correct size to cover the ball. Easily done, by making sure the image of the ball is visible, reducing each side until you see the edge of the ball, and then increase it a touch. You should end up with something like this:

Next click on the effects button at the bottom of the layers palette and select “Blending Options”:
Then apply the following settings:

This should give you something that looks like this:

Finally, in the Layers Palette, set the layer to ‘Multiply’ and its opacity to 70%:

This leaves you with the outcome I showed you right at the top of the tutorial, and several more just below. Thankyou for reading this tutorial. I hope you enjoy your outcomes (even post some in the comments section - that’d be great). Also, have a great Euro 2008.
